Presentation of Materials and Structures Department Program for Future Engineers

Our training programme aims to prepare future engineers with the scientific skills needed to meet the demands of the Public Works and Civil Engineering sector. Taught by research lecturers and professionals from the public works sector, the course is structured around five main areas of interest: Geotechnics, Civil Engineering Structures, Hydraulics, Transport, and Environment.

First Year: Engineering Foundations

  • Acquire the fundamental scientific tools.
  • Learn basic engineering techniques.
  • Introduction through simulation and practical work.
  • 25-day internship in a professional environment.
  • Specialised lectures by professionals from the construction and public works sector.
  • Site visits.

Second Year: Technical Development

  • Consolidation of engineering techniques and methods.
  • Mini-projects, particularly on roads and engineering structures.
  • 25-day work placement.
  • Site visits.

Third Year: Towards Expertise

  • Site organisation, public works law, and project management.
  • Conducting mini-projects for optional courses, with subjects such as Tunnels and Buildings.
  • 200 additional hours added for the Master's degree.
