Entrepreneurship Awareness
As part of the entrepreneurship awareness initiatives, first-year engineering students at ENSTP attended a specialized conference on entrepreneurship on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
This conference was led by:
- Mr. TAFRAOUT Salim (Professor at ENSTP, Director of the ENSTP Incubator)
- Ms. LARBI Selma (Professor at ENSTP, Member of the ENSTP Incubator)
- Ms. SAADI Samira (Professor at ENSTP, Member of the ENSTP CDE)
- Mr. BOUZID Amine, representative of NESDA at ENSTP
The contributions from the members of the incubator and the CDE allowed students to explore the world of entrepreneurship, discover new business models, and immerse themselves in the world of innovation.
Mr. TAFRAOUT Salim, head of the ENSTP Incubator, provided a definition of startups, explaining their unique characteristics and how they differ from micro-enterprises. He also outlined the administrative procedures for establishing a startup, potential partners involved in such projects, and the key elements for developing a business model.
Ms. LARBI Selma, a member of the ENSTP Incubator, introduced the concept of "design thinking" as a method to generate innovative ideas, focusing on problem identification, customer needs assessment, and optimal solution development. She illustrated her presentation with examples of technical and ecological solutions applicable to the public works sector.
Next, Ms. SAADI Samira, a member of the Entrepreneurial Development Center (CDE), highlighted the role of the CDE as a space dedicated to student-led business creation. She emphasized its objectives: promoting an entrepreneurial mindset, training project leaders, and supporting young entrepreneurs.
The conference was further enriched by Mr. BOUZID Amine, representative of NESDA at ENSTP, who presented the various sectors financed by NESDA, the available funding mechanisms, and the step-by-step process for establishing a small business following NESDA's model.
All the speakers collaborated to encourage future engineers to think critically and develop innovative project ideas that could lead to real-world applications.
The students showed great interest in entrepreneurship, as reflected in their numerous insightful questions and active participation.
